Hello my name is Emma & I am a children's party entertainer through and through. Starting out in face painting and turning my hand to all other areas of the business.
Hello my name is Emma and I am the Founder and owner of Flava fun parties. We are a fun family run business, I am the entertainer that turns her hand to most areas of the business, covering the children's entertainer, face painter and mobile dj, plus I also turn my hand to the glitter station, and balloon modelling. In 2007 I was part owner of Unique Flava Promotions, which offered parties and magic for different occasions, After leaving the partnership I set up Flava fun parties in 2012, Which started out in with Just face painting, I have then grown the business and adapted to the times to what Flava fun parties is now.
How I started out: When I had my daughter I went back to college to better my self and got my A levels in Art, not knowing where to use my new qualifications with a small child, I was given the opportunity to work with Yazzy (a group in Sheffield that help children at a disadvantage), to help with art therapy. Which was still in its trial stages so I was asked to take over my daughters local play group. I jumped at the chance of taking on a great opportunity. I brought the playgroup up to modern day with securing funding for equipment and day trips for the group. Running the playgroup also brought along opportunities with Sure start with in my local area helping and volunteering. This brought around me trying out my art skills with Face painting. As soon as I gave it a go and got the hang of painting the face instead of a canvases, I was off and never looked back.
In 2007 I was given the opportunity to start a business with someone else, to provide a mobile disco and why not include my skills of face painting for the children. My partnership ended in 2012, and I had so many ideas and options of where to take my skills and talents, so I decided to set up Flava fun parties. At first building the business up from the ground, I offered Face painting at local parks, cafes, school events and more, then built the disco business up from then. Using every penny ever made building equipment and supplies to offer parties at what you see today.
I am always looking to adapt and bring something new to the parties that isn't widely seen through out the party circuit. I always want to be able to offer our clients a party that gives people something to talk about for weeks to come and put a smile on everyone's faces not just the children's. Bringing a smile to every children's party entertainment and also putting a smile on the little ones faces with face painting is a great addition to all our parties.
I am also a very keen reader loving books of romance and also the paranormal, Yes I know slightly weird. But who is normal nowadays
I love animals, and I currently own, 2 snakes, 1 Dog, 2 Geckos, 1 fish and 3 cats. Yes I know its like a zoo, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I will introduce you to all the animals over time on this blog as they are all cute in there own way.
I also have my daughter at home, she's called Jade and does work for Flava fun on the odd occasion. She's 22 year old and qualified in working with children.
